Bishop’s Castle Art Festival – Going Wild Collaboration

During the 2026 Bishop’s Castle Art Festival, Going Wild in BC invited artists taking part in the Open Studios programme to respond creatively to the theme “Going Wild.”
Inspired by the landscapes, wildlife and biodiversity of Bishop’s Castle and the surrounding Shropshire Hills, artists explored what “Going Wild” means through their own work.
Across the town, artists welcomed visitors into their studios, sharing imaginative and personal responses to nature and our relationship with the wild world around us.

Coming in 2027: The Going Wild Exhibition

Artists who took part in the collaboration will be invited to exhibit their work together next year.

The Going Wild in Bishop’s Castle Exhibition will take place at Bishop’s Castle Town Hall during the 2027 Bishop’s Castle Art Week, bringing together artworks created through the Open Studios project.
