What We Do!

Are you looking for exercise in the outdoors? Then do we have the group for you! Our Conservation volunteers each help us to manage the green and wild spaces around Bishop’s Castle. These sites have many different site owners, but are all managed (at least partially/seasonally) for the benefit of wildlife. Our team will plant bulbs, trees or flowers, coppice woodland or scythe and rake meadows. We meet very regularly, usually every 2 weeks, always within walking distance of the town. Without this team, we simply couldn’t deliver the habitat benefits that so many species improve in.
