FRIENDS OF LIGHT FOOT

We introduced our plan to start a ‘Friends of Light Foot’ Group at our AGM in November.  Now we want to design the Friends group you want, so would be very happy if you could answer the (very) few questions in the form by clicking the button below. We hope we will have a Friends group that works for everyone.

Community-based

We operate in the Welsh Marches area covering parts of Powys, Herefordshire and Shropshire.  There are many local community initiatives that operate within this area and one of our aims is to share and spread ideas and good practice across the whole region.

Action Orientated

We support local actions that increase knowledge and understanding of the Climate and Ecological Emergency that we all face.   We do this through; outreach to schools, providing help and support to individuals who wish to reduce their carbon and ecological footprint and sharing resources and ideas to build local resilience.

Lightfoot Enterprises was an initiative of the Bishop’s Castle based Wasteless Society, which itself was founded in the mid-1990s.
Lightfoot Enterprises was incorporated in 2008 and became a registered charity in 2013.  Lightfoot’s main thrust is to reduce carbon emissions by carrying out household energy surveys, informing and advising households on energy efficiency and renewable energy measures they could take. It has expanded its initiatives to cover the climate and bio-diversity crises.
