Lightfoot at 20 Pop-Up Show
Our celebration of Lightfoot’s 20th year took place in January at BC CLT’s ‘Star’ Pop-Up Shop in Bishop’s Castle.
Amongst the many project activities that were on display was a ‘map’ of BC’s environmental history since the 1980s.
Many visitors suggested additions that had been overlooked. Fortunately, it was still in hand-written form. A digitised
version will soon be created.

BISHOP’S CASTLE ENVIRONMENT ACTIVITIES HISTORY
Lightfoot have attempted to capture the last 40 years of environmental activity in Bishop’s Castle (see adjoining graphic). We have probably missed some but, as the graphic shows, it is nonetheless an impressive record.
WILL IT CONTINUE?
For the last 20 years Lightfoot has played its part in this proud activist tradition, and hopes to continue this important work, but is finding it difficult to get people to help. We are increasingly aware of the importance of continuity planning to ensure the Charity is still around for future generations.
We need people to step forward and help us. What you can give us are fresh ideas and enthusiasm, what we can give you is an understanding of how to run an environmental charity, an introduction to our breadth of network liaisons with other organisation in the Marches, and a proven track record in envisioning, planning and delivering projects.
E-mail us at info@lightfootenterprises.org to find out more about getting involved.

FRIENDS OF LIGHT FOOT
We introduced our plan to start a ‘Friends of Light Foot’ Group at our AGM in November. Now we want to design the Friends group you want, so would be very happy if you could answer the (very) few questions in the form by clicking the button below. We hope we will have a Friends group that works for everyone.

Renewable Energy
Lightfoot Energy was an initiative of the Bishop’s Castle based Wasteless Society, which itself was founded in the mid-1990s.
Light Foot Enterprises was incorporated in 2008 and became a registered charity in 2013. Light Foot’s main thrust was once the Household Energy Surveys, but has been expanded to pursue initiatives to encourage communities to tackle all aspects of the climate and bio-diversity crises.
